Though there are differences in the date of Syawal 1, 1432 H in Indonesia, that shall not reduce the values of ‘Iedul Fitri itself, the day of victory celebration for all moslem, who have undergone a full month of training for a battle against uncontrolled lusts and desires and far-fetched hopes. Let us think of it as a reminder of the importance of tolerance in human’s plurality, just another wonderful lesson from Islam.

This victory celebration must not set be the goal, but merely a milestone to remember when we go on living our lives in the next 11 months of the year. To inculcate a sense of fraternity and solidarity, for many of our fellow human are suffering of hunger and poverty.
